The gardening kits have been created in collaboration with scientists from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

From April, you can buy the new KRYDDA/VÄXER system. They come with handy gardening items like absorbent foam plugs that keep in moisture and prevent over-watering, and some highly absorbent pumice stones.

The sets are part of a larger initiative. Chef Sustainability Officer, Steve Howard, revealed during the Guardian Sustainable Business debate, that the flatpack furniture gurus are working towards building a circular IKEA, that encourages you to repair and recycle products.
